Our recent tabletop campaign of Augusta Universalis — the RPG published by AcchiappaSogni with the Destino Oscuro game system — gave us the opportunity to exercise our creativity and write, with our own hands, a new adventure we decided to call “Abissi di Deimos” (“Depths of Deimos”).

For those unfamiliar with the game: in a nutshell, it is an alternate history that lets you play a Praetorian of the Caesars’ Guard, complete with Technoarmour, travelling among the stars in a future where human history took a different course — the Roman Empire reigns unchallenged over the Solar System and beyond!

Abissi di Deimos” is a short adventure for 3-5 Praetorians, designed to sit between the adventures ‘Il programma fantasma’ and ‘Le porte di Tannhäuser’ in the Liber Maximum. With minor additions, however, it can be used in other adventures involving the Nazi Party. The Praetorians will explore an underground research complex, hunting for proof of the ties between the Sorcerers of Deimos and the Nazi Party.

Deimos is also the name of one of the moons of Mars, where the events take place. The adventure is structured with dungeon-crawler dynamics: rather than a linear story to follow, it offers a description of the places the Praetorians will explore and suggestions about things that might happen.
