Una morbosa eredità - An adventure for fantasy RPGs
A mysterious plague afflicts the County of Zeiselmauer. A band of brave adventurers, heedless of danger, sets out on a mission to answer the calls for help sent by the Resistance, a group opposing the regime of the tyrannical Count Habel, an usurper. Will the characters restore peace to the County, or succumb to a darker threat?
“Una morbosa eredità” (“A Morbid Inheritance”) is the adventure born from the “Adventure Writing” workshop held in January and February 2021. Published on DriveThruRPG in April 2021, it is the testament of a short group learning journey, gathered online on our Discord server, which gave rise to a mini-work thanks to the creative commitment of the participants.
This adventure can be experienced by a group of two or more players over a single session. We recommend it to players and game masters both new and experienced. The events unfold in a Germanic-inspired county, in a pseudo-Renaissance period of a low-magic fantasy setting. The story can easily be adapted to other contexts, settings and games.
